Flower extending it's stay

Home I'd bought these flowers neat the beginning of last week and we'd only just remembered to add some more water to the vase this morning. They seem to be surviving quite well and I'm wondering if the cooler weather Atlanta has experienced earlier in the week might have contributed to their long lived status.

Google Analytics Installed

I've just gotten this tool up and running on my blog, so I guess it's now just a matter of time before I should start checking out such things as Visitor Trending, Visitor Loyalty, Browser Capabilities, etc.

These could be useful for tennis - NOT!

I was wandering around our local tennis court after a meal out at a restaurant. The light was just right with the evening sun low over the horizon and the camera just asked to be used. Check out the flickr links on clicking a photo to see a couple more pictures from this evening, as well as some from earlier in the day.

Since it's been yet another uncharacteristically brisk day, I once again took advantage of the weather and walked about a mile to Emory Campus. Tt was indeed cool, as in temperature, but this campus is generally cool with it's preservation of an architectural style that dates back for many decades. It's a good place to hang around in, providing it's not a stifling hot day.

Since we seem to have had something of a cool snap around these parts it was definitely a pleasure to get out for a walk this morning. The above photos were taken in and around Lullwater Park and the Clairmont Campus of Emory University I managed to dodge some light rainfall that happened both before and after I was out and about.

Soon to Come

This is my photo blog. I'm going to be concentrating (as the title definitely indicates) on showing off photos that I take with my reasonably new (but slightly dented) Lumix LX5 camera. I suspect that I'll also be including some pictures taken with my Nikon D90 camera, but expect more pictures from the smaller camera on a daily basis.

I'm still in something of an experimental mode at this point, but I'm probably going to be shooting raw and after developing (quickly) in Lightroom sending to flickr for linking to from blogger. Let's see how this all works out. I'll be glad to hear comments from folks on what they think both of my pictures, and of my workflow, etc.

Tuesday 30th July, 2013 - This blog's obviously gone through something of a transformation. My wife now owns the Lumix camera, and I now shoot primarily with a Sony NEX-6. I still use the Nikon D90 however. I'm also down to essentially posting just the one picture a day, but doing so religiously!
